Venera Krliu is another of Webster Geneva’s bright and shining stars. She is currently the Vice Rector for Education and the Vice President of the University American College Skopje (UACS), which was founded in the year of 2005. The University’s mission is to provide excellence in higher education that combines strengths from both the European and American educational standards. This institution stands for building bridges and connecting students, faculty and industry professionals in an international environment. UACS is the only university in the region, with an international accreditation issued by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), USA.

Krliu graduated from Webster University Geneva with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations, a Certificate in Refugee Studies and a double Major degree in Psychology in 2005, after which she received her Master of Business Administration degree at UACS in 2008. She became a Doctor of Philosophy in 2014.

As a Webster alumna, she always reminisces about being engaged in charitable and socially responsible activities, aimed at helping the community. She is a distinguished philanthropist, whose long-term charity work, human solidarity and efforts for promoting mutual understanding and cooperation between nations and members of different communities, cultures and religions, have been honored with the Mother Theresa State Award in the year of 2017.

The theoretical knowledge and practical experience obtained at Webster University, helped her grow both individually and professionally. Today, she is a proud leader and professor at the best private university in the region. Her efforts are centered on resolving potential conflicts and challenges in everyday activities and transferring “know how” to her students, peers and colleagues.

“I was always inspired by a quote by Prof. Neil German, who used to say that you can’t dream big, unless you possess the necessary experience. Having this motto in mind, albeit the many successes I have accomplished so far, I was also able to make one of my dreams come to reality - the opening of the American High School Skopje - and this is just the beginning of a new chapter.”
