Tim Young holds a First Class Honours degree from the University of Westminster (London, United Kingdom) in Photographic and Electronic Imaging Science and a teaching certificate from Royal Holloway, University of London.
From 1996 to 2003 Young worked for British Ceremonial Arts filming events at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Westminster Abbey, Cardiff Castle and The Palace of Holyroodhouse, and editing corporate, documentary and dramatic films.
In 2003 he joined the Technical support team in the Media Arts Department at Royal Holloway, University of London where he was responsible for the training of students and staff in the use of a wide variety of production and post-production equipment. During this time he also founded The Contrast Podcast and recorded an album with the group Harold's Leap.
In 2009 Young relocated to the French-Swiss border where he undertook a number of creative filmmaking projects including the sole co-production of 'Going Back .. the Home Movie' with Phil Collins, an 87 minute observational documentary made during the recording of Collins's final album.
Young has been the Media Technician at Webster University Geneva since 2010, and in 2012 also became the campus Webmaster.
