English Proficiency

At Webster, all aspects of university life are conducted in English: teaching, class discussions, homework, research, and exams. It is therefore essential that students possess a proficiency in English at the level needed for graduate studies.

An applicant is exempted from providing proof of English proficiency if he or she completed or will complete the last two years of a full-time university program using English as the medium of instruction in the following countries: USA, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa or Canada.

Otherwise, an applicant who has studied in any language of instruction outside of these countries must document their English proficiency with a TOEFL or IELTS result. 

TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language)

Webster-Geneva requires the following minimum TOEFL score to be considered for admission to a graduate program:

The applicant can provide an unofficial scan or copy of the TOEFL result for Webster to make the admissions decision. However, the applicant will need to request an official TOEFL result be sent to Webster-Geneva once admitted (institution code: 0546). Go to Educational Testing Service.
