Join a Special Group of Scholars

As a Webster Scholar, you will enroll in two multi-disciplinary courses designed for program participants:

  •  Freshmen Scholars Seminar
  •  Ethics Across the Majors

These courses are taught by faculty noted for their teaching excellence and their ability to bridge disciplines. A special focus will be the integration of ethics. The goal is to inspire you to take initiative, become an example and act as an agent for positive change.

Research a Scholarly Topic

During your senior year, you can engage in individualized research by completing a thesis or a project depending on your major. You will be individually mentored by a faculty member who specializes in this topic. This academic learning experience will strengthen your skills in research, writing, programming or production. Completing a thesis or project can provide you with a competitive advantage when applying to graduate school or when entering the job market.

Engage in Special Events

You will participate in events selected to help you grow intellectually and build a professional network through interaction with men and women who are proven leaders. In addition, you may even be invited to present your work at the Scholars Research Symposium.
