Student visas and residence permits

Who needs a student visa for Switzerland?

You DO NOT need a visa if…

• You are a Swiss citizen.
  
  
• You possess a valid residence permit to live, work or study in Switzerland.
  
  
• You are a citizen of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
  You will, however, need to apply for a Student “B” residence permit as soon as you enroll.

Everyone else must have a student visa to Switzerland before enrolling at Webster University Geneva.

To avoid having to postpone your enrollment, please apply for your student visa as early as possible before your desired enrollment date.
