Sarah Stauffer, Ph.D., NCC, NCSC
Biography
Sarah Stauffer is a counselor and counselor educator from the United States who moved to Switzerland in 2006. She received her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Practice and her Ed.S. in School Counseling from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA and her M.A. in Counseling and B.A. in Psychology from West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV (USA). Her areas of specialization include counselor education, school counseling, group counseling, play therapy, trauma treatment, and treating children, adolescents, and their parents.
Professional Experience
Sarah has taught undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Psychology and Counseling at West Virginia University and Georgia State University, and now teaches at Webster University-Geneva. She has worked as an elementary school counselor in high needs schools, a therapist to sexually abused children and adolescents, a counselor/companion in the Rape and Domestic Violence Information Center, and a mediator in a court-connected program.
