Carrying on the tradition of the Finance Forums, the WSBT in collaboration with the University Career Services, held Webster’s 5th annual Finance Forum on April 20th.

The Finance Forum, initiated and organised by Dr. Michal Paserman, is part of Webster’s initiative to keep abreast of developments in the financial world and to bring the business community to the academic environment.

This year’s Finance Forum focused on “Careers in Finance: Alumni-Students Roundtable”. The newly appointed chair of the WSBT, Dr. Dominique Jolly, opened the event and welcomed the guests and audience. The roundtable panel was composed of four prominent Webster alumni working in finance in Cisco Systems Capital, Tradall SA - Bacardi Martini Group, UBS and Medair. The panel members presented their companies and industries, and openly shared with the participants from their working lives. They told about their successes at work and challenges, and about the development of their career since they graduated from Webster. The presentations were followed by a session of questions and answers, where the participants took the opportunity and actively discussed with the alumni issues related to their future careers. The discussions then continued in a networking session that followed the roundtable presentation.
